Roles and Objectives
- Developing a community of practice to protect all health care professionals’ rights in Shiraz
- Cultivating and maintain a sense of unity amongst health care practitioners by advising and informing them all process and activities related to their profession
- Posting job advertisements for medical workforce
- Submitting good standing requests for all health care practitioners applying for jobs and fellowship position abroad to Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRIMC) and following medical doctors and all health care practitioners’ history
- Issuing work permit for medical doctors, optometrist, dentists, pharmacists, audio morticians, speech therapist, occupational therapist, midwives.
- Holding in service trainings for all medical workforces and running educational and professional development workshops for trainees.
- Dealing with patients’ complaints against medical violations and protecting their rights
- Connections with executive organizations related to medical and research activities (e.g. Shiraz Medical University) and judicial systems
- Developing voluntary group of medical practitioners to work in underprivileged parts of country and assist people in emergent conditions (e.g. natural disasters).
- Pronouncing final verdicts on juridical cases
- Issuing medical cards for healthcare professionals.
